Abstract
The water content of the maternal and and fetal blood was measured by two different methods submicro and macromethod for 75 full-term delivery cases and the following results were obtained:
1. As a whole, the da-ta by macromethod were less than those of by submicro-method.
2. The water content of the maternal blood was about 3?4% higher than that of the fetal blood.
3.There was no sex difference in the water content of the blood of the infants.
4. There was no difference in the water, content of the blood between antepartum(1?2 hours before delivery) and postpartum in 10 cases of parturient mothers.
5. The water content of the blood of pregnant woman was higher than that of none-pregnant woman.
6. In twin delivery, the water content of the fetal blood was higher than that of single fetuses.
